The Notorious Experience
So last night my boo and I hit the town to see "the 1st must see movie of the year", Notorious. Let me start by saying that the last time I saw theaters so chaotic was in May when Sex And The City hit theaters. There were people actually standing online to buy tickets, which was beyond my comprehension. For an anticipated flick like Notorious, ya gotta get your tickets in advance. There's just no way you're gonna walk into the theater the day of, and expect to find a show that isn't sold out. The lines were ridiculously long, and I was just psyched that I didn't have to stand on it! So, now that I got that outta the way... I found the movie to be pretty well put together. For me, watching Notorious turned Biggie into more than a rap icon from Bed Stuy. The movie helped him transcend from being the greatest rapper alive to a guy that you wish you woulda known personally. I think Ms. Wallace did a great job of getting an honest story told about her son. there was everything from the drama with Kim and faith to the issues he faced with his 1st child's mother and his unfortunate friendship turn rival with Tupac. The only critisicms that I have are that I wish it would have went more in depth about his friendship with Jay. The movie could have also shown a l ittle more in terms of his involvement with Junior mafia and other Bad Boy artists. Those things seemed to be lacking from the film. Other than that the film was well put together. Oh, and Cudos to Jamal Woolard (the actor that played Biggie), he did a phenominal job.

Don't let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya!
So I've been on hiatus for a while. The life of a social worker gets all too consuming at times. However, I'm back and I am very excited to blog about good ole President Bush! Tonight he gave his farewell speech to the nation, and let me be the first to say:HALLELUAH!! It has seriously felt like this day would never come. The last 8 years have been fricken horrific to say the least. We saw everything from Terror Attacks to a war with no end in site, to this sick sad Recession that we're now living in. President Bush stated that He's been "blessed to serve this country" and I personally feel even more blessed that he's no longer going to be serving this country! We've been done huge injustice by him with his hidden agendas and ridiculous words like "misunderestimate" and "evil doers". Evil doers?? Was he addressing the nation or an audience at a comic book convention? I am ecstatic that his time has come and gone! So president bush, don't let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya!!!!
