In The Latest News:

Tiger Woods named althlete of the year.Tiger beat out other top althletes Michael Phelps and Lance Armstrong... Hey, his personal life may be up shits creek, but the man can play some golf. There's no denying that!..

Nene and Kim may be leaving The Housewives of ATL due to some discrepancies with their salaries. Those two need to get it together and not get ahead of themselves. Bravo has made them famous for doing nothing and its a little bit too soon for them to be trying to abandon that gravy train! Plus, I don't wanna see them go, they entertain me way oh to well...

In more serious news, is it me, or does the lady who's young son is missing seem a little off? Apparently she left her son with her boo and he let the toddler wander out of the home? He's been arrested and charged with child endangerment (thank god) but something seems very off about them....

Lastly, they're considering naming a street after the slain Sean Bell. Bell's family proposed that the street where he was gunned down by police should be called Sean Bell Way. The city council will be voting in order to decide. I think its a superb idea. A nice way to honor him.

Tsk Tisk Tiger!

So in the latest Tiger Woods saga turns out he was having an affair with one of the females on the VH1"reality" show Tool Academy. The incriminating voicemail was played on eyewitness news this evening. Your boy told his mistress that she needs to take her name off of her voicemail because his wife went through his phone. LMFAO!!! Pricelesssss. He sounded so desperate and pitiful!! Every cheating man needs to be publicly humiliated and exposed just like Tiger is. SMH um um um...

Where Has The Soul Train Awards Been??

So was anyone else as confused as I was about the Soul Train Awards on BET? I was watching tv last week when I saw a commercial with Taraji P. Henson and Terrance Howard for an upcoming Soul Train Award Show. Needless to say I was stuck on stupid wondering what the heck happened to that award show and how it ended up on BET. So lastnight I tuned in to the red carpet hour @ 8 and they had a pretty good line up. Everyone from Toni Braxton to Mario and Brian McKnight were scheduled to perform. The show was also honoring Chaka Khan, Charlie Wilson and Michael Jackson. I have to admit that I had the eyebrow up about the sudden rebirth of the show, but I was pleasantly surprised. I thought It was well put together. The show was a very adult, drama free show. Ms. Keri Hilson and Trey Songz gave two of my favorite performances of the night. The show brought out a wide variety of great talents(both old and new) and Taraji and Terrence hosted well together.
Some people thought the show was boring, but just because we didn't have Kanye and Lil Mama on the sideline ready to act a fool doesn't mean that it wasn't a good show. LOL. I think anytime people can get together, be tasteful and peaceful plus put on a good performance, then that makes for a good show.

Turkey Day was a hit!

So Thanksgiving was a blast! My mom and I began cooking on Wednesday night and we made everything from honey glazed pineapple ham to baked zit and baked macaroni (which turned out great by the way). The food was absolutely delishhh and I woke up this morning and had a large plate of left overs! I plan on eating Thanksgiving dinner for the next several days and I am not ashamed!
BTW did anyone see The Beyonce Experience on ABC last night? I was too busy stuffing my face so I missed it...

Is it me or does that movie "Brothers" (with Jake Gyllenhall and Toby McGuire) look super goooood?!! Man goes off to war and is presumed dead, he fights his way back to his wife and kids just to discover that his wife slept with his brother (gasp!!) PRICELESS! I cannot wait to see it. It's in theaters on Dec. 4th...

Mac N Cheese Please!

So I plan on baking a macaroni pie this Turkey Day but this is my 1st time. Most people I know have been here and done this, so I'll tell you guys what ingredients I picked up and you can feel free to add anything that you deem necessary. I picked up elbow pasta (of course), sharp cheddar and mozerella cheese and carnation milk. I've also heard that I could add eggs and chopped onions, so I'll incorporate those things. I suppose it sounds simple enough and I'm a great cook so I'm sure it'll be tasty. Baked macaroni is one of my favortie foods so I figured I should try making it for a change. As I said, feel free to let me know how to jazz it up!

How about those AMAs?!

How about those AMAs? I have to say I was fully entertained! Let me just get this out of the way. The best performance for me was Jay Z and Keys. I get chills everytime they perform Empire State live. And don't even get me started on Jay's swaggerific white suite and bow tie. My second favorite performance came from Alicia Keys. I can't stress how much I love her new single Try Sleeping Wtih A Broken Heart. That song is the truth!... Now that I got that out of the way let's talk about J. Lo's slip and fall! She recovered from that fall so fast that if u blinked you would've missed it. I know I almost did. LOL. And then the American Idol winner busted his butt too? That was more than I could take. I enjoyed Rih Rih's performance. I love both of the songs that she performed. I'm thrilled to see her moving onward and upward with her life and her career! More power to her sassy butt. I wasn't entirely blown away by Whitney's performance. She sang her song with the amount of grace that only Whitney could, but it was a little less than moving. I'm just happy that she's back and doing well! I think the show was nicely put together over all. Kanye and Lil Mama were noticeably absent and thank heavens because the last thing the show needed was their shinanigans!

It's Been A Long Time!

I know I know, It's been forever since I've blogged with you guys! Soo much has happened since Feb. 2009 and I've been incredibly busy to say the least. Hmmm, Where do I start? Well, I got engaged over the summer, that was the highlight of my summer, as well as my LIFE!! I've been busy planning my upcoming nuptials to my lover and best friend, and I'll gladly take you guys on the world wind ride with me. My life consists of all things wedding related at the current moment. Either I'm reading my Modern Bride Magazine or I'm watching "WE Go Bridal" Sundays on the We Channel. David Tutera and Platinum Weddings are my fave... In other news, I decided to go back to school to further my career and of course my education. I'm currently in Grad School getting my masters in social work. I'm headed towards being a licensed clinician and I have to say, my momentum is great! Hmmm, did I leave anything out? Oh, I'm on a serious hunt for a new apartment. My fiance and I are moving on ward and up ward and it's time for a new pad that represents the both of us! Our search has been crrrazy, but I'm confident that It'll come to a nice end.
Well, that's all for now! I'm going to make an earnest effort to keep up with my fellow bloggers and bring my own little "Neesh" twist to all of the current events going on!!
Ciao for now!

P.S. WHAT THE HECK is Oprah doing retiring in 2011?? I completely respect and understand her wanting to go out on top and end the show with a nice round # like 25 but Geeze Louise how am I supposed to live a life without Oprah in it on a daily basis??????

And The Plot Thickens!

So in the latest Chris Brown news, the female that was assaulted last night is allegedly Chris's boo singer Rhi-Rhi. Apprently they got into an altercation at a pre-grammy party, and the assault later ensued. I have to say, I'm very shocked at Chris Breezy's behavior. He appears to be such a gentleman every time he's on camera. What was he thinkin' when he decided to go upside poor Rhianna's head?? Needless to say, Breezy's career is up shit's creek without a paddle. Wrigleys has already pulled that godforsaken doublemint commercial that plagued me on every other channel and who knows what other set back he may face. Hopefully his record label doesn't drop his ass like its hott! I just hope it all works out for the best.

Chris Breezy Arrested!!

R&B singer Chris Brown was arrested on Sunday for allegedly beating a woman after an altercation. Chris is being charged with felony battery in connection with the incident. Holy Canoli! What on earth was Breezy thinkin'. I have to say when I heard this I was truly shocked, he just doesn't strike me as the type to kick a lady's ass... BTW, Chris Brown and his boo Rhi-Rhi were both noticeably absent from tonight's Grammy Awards show.
Shame on you Chris, Tsk Tsk.

The Notorious Experience

So last night my boo and I hit the town to see "the 1st must see movie of the year", Notorious. Let me start by saying that the last time I saw theaters so chaotic was in May when Sex And The City hit theaters. There were people actually standing online to buy tickets, which was beyond my comprehension. For an anticipated flick like Notorious, ya gotta get your tickets in advance. There's just no way you're gonna walk into the theater the day of, and expect to find a show that isn't sold out. The lines were ridiculously long, and I was just psyched that I didn't have to stand on it! So, now that I got that outta the way... I found the movie to be pretty well put together. For me, watching Notorious turned Biggie into more than a rap icon from Bed Stuy. The movie helped him transcend from being the greatest rapper alive to a guy that you wish you woulda known personally. I think Ms. Wallace did a great job of getting an honest story told about her son. there was everything from the drama with Kim and faith to the issues he faced with his 1st child's mother and his unfortunate friendship turn rival with Tupac. The only critisicms that I have are that I wish it would have went more in depth about his friendship with Jay. The movie could have also shown a l ittle more in terms of his involvement with Junior mafia and other Bad Boy artists. Those things seemed to be lacking from the film. Other than that the film was well put together. Oh, and Cudos to Jamal Woolard (the actor that played Biggie), he did a phenominal job.

Don't let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya!

So I've been on hiatus for a while. The life of a social worker gets all too consuming at times. However, I'm back and I am very excited to blog about good ole President Bush! Tonight he gave his farewell speech to the nation, and let me be the first to say:HALLELUAH!! It has seriously felt like this day would never come. The last 8 years have been fricken horrific to say the least. We saw everything from Terror Attacks to a war with no end in site, to this sick sad Recession that we're now living in. President Bush stated that He's been "blessed to serve this country" and I personally feel even more blessed that he's no longer going to be serving this country! We've been done huge injustice by him with his hidden agendas and ridiculous words like "misunderestimate" and "evil doers". Evil doers?? Was he addressing the nation or an audience at a comic book convention? I am ecstatic that his time has come and gone! So president bush, don't let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya!!!!
